So in less than a week I am off for the City of Brotherly Love, also known as Philadelphia. God has blessed me with the opportunity to be a Fellow at the John Jay Institute this year and I intend to take him up on it. I have started this blog in order to chronicle my adventures and my mis-adventures, as may be the case, in Western Pennsylvania and beyond. For those of you who have decided to join me in this little project consider yourselves warned. I was never good at writing diaries, journals, letters, or emails regularly so I cannot promise daily updates or lengthy posts. I do promise to keep you appraised of the big things that God will do throughout this journey to which I have been called. In keeping with the title of this blog, I was recently reminded of one of J.R.R. Tolkien's poem in which he writes that "not all those who wander are lost." In a sense I feel I have started out on a bit of a wander. I have ventured out and with God's help there is no telling where I will be swept off to.
